The Reason LED lighting uses less power for the same light output is because the old fluorescent lamps produce light in a wide range of light frequencies(many of which cannot be seen with the human eye) where as the LED lamps only produce light in the visible frequency range. Therefore not wasting energy on producing  light that cannot be seen.

Refurb Room 85 and 86 HumSS Building

Park House itself is home to a colony of Brown Long Eared (Plecotus auritus) bats and is used as a maternity roost in the summer months. The roof supports over 100 females and this would make it one of the main maternity roosts in this area. A maternity roost is usually populated annually between May and August when mothers congregate at the same roosts each year to collectively rear their young. There are 3 other species of bats that have been identified Common Pipistrelle (Pipistrellus pipistrellus). The largest of the UK bat species, Noctule bats (Nyctalus noctula) and the less common Daubenton's bat (Myotis daubentoni). All of these bats are European Protected Species which are known to be in decline due to habitat and roost loss.

That Paddock House, Henley - designed by Geddes Hyslop - was built in 1956 and won a prize for architecture.

The original Greenlands site was bought by WH Smith in 1871, and became his country residence. During the Second World War the house was used as a home for the disabled, and was camouflaged in grey paint.

The College took occupation in 1946 and the first course started in 1948. In 1952, the opportunity arose to buy the freehold for the whole site (30 acres) for the princely sum of £30,750.

That Tarmac Dry is a way of meeting the challenges of sustainable drainage systems (SuDS). Because the system deals with surface water run-off as close to its origins as possible, before it enters the water course, it reduces the risk of localised flooding.
