Parking at the University

The University has over 2,400 parking spaces across three campuses. These spaces and access to University property are managed by Security Services.

To bring a vehicle onto campus you will need a vehicle entry permit.

Disabled parking

Any member of the University, staff or student, who holds a disabled badge is automatically entitled to a University permit free of charge. You will find dedicated disabled bays in every University car park.

Vehicle security

If you apply for a vehicle entry permit, be aware that vehicle crime rates are comparable to the rest of the Thames Valley area. Our experience tells us that a few simple steps can reduce the risk of your vehicle being broken into:

  • Always lock your vehicle
  • Never leave any items on display
  • Remove all valuable items from your vehicle
  • Remove the fascia from any radio/stereo equipment
  • Remove all Sat Nav Equipment, including the holder
  • Do not leave your vehicle on campus overnight
  • Always use any security devices fitted to your car.

Parking regulations

The University expects everyone bringing a vehicle onto any of its campuses to abide by the parking regulations which accompany all vehicle entry permit application forms. Please ensure that you read and understand these regulations before applying for a permit.

Anyone infringing the regulations is likely to receive a warning notice and a fine of £60.
