Strategy and space management

The University of Reading’s Estate Strategy 2004-2013, which is prepared within the department, describes the University’s Estate and identifies how this will be managed to support the University’s Corporate Strategy over the planning period. It is updated annually and revised every 5 years.

We are responsible for allocating space across the University. We also hold information on all of the University’s properties and each room in a space database, which we update when new buildings are completed and existing buildings refurbished. It is also updated annually via the University space audit. We provide this information for both strategic and operational planning.

The University of Reading actively participates in The Estate Management Statistics project.
